Unit 3 The Aquatics Explorer provides you with tips and guidelines to support swimmers with a range of disabilities, functional difficulties and health conditions.
There is a variety of content to get you thinking about what’s possible for you in your practice to facilitate inclusive and safe aquatics for all.
Please help us support people with disabilities in low income countries.
The iPEPAS Inclusive Aquatics programme is free of charge however we do welcome donations to helps us cover costs associated with implementing the programme, including practicals, in low and middle income countries. These countries carry the burden of over 90% of global drowning incidents, predominantly due to a lack of basic swimming skills. Also, people with disabilities are more likely to experience higher levels of social exclusion and discrimination.
If you are in a position to donate, any financial donation is welcome, and you can do so by clicking the button below. All donations will go directly to travel/accommodation and other costs associated with onsite training of inclusive aquatics, and basic swimming skills where needed, to build capacity to ensure that everywhere the programme is implemented, everyone in the community is safe in the water and has access to the wide range of health, social and development benefits.
