Your Journey Towards Inclusive Aquatics Begins Here
Welcome to the iPEPAS Inclusive Aquatics e-learning programme.
This suite of three units are specifically designed to support a) aquatics/swim teachers or coaches in including swimmers with disabilities and b) anyone who would like to support swimmers with disabilities during aquatics sessions, including aquatics tutors, primary school teachers, physical education teachers, paraprofessionals, parents/guardians and volunteers…
These units have been developed by the UNESCO Chair at MTU Kerry to ensure that people with disabilities have access to the range of benefits and skills that can be developed through aquatics. This supports the global UN, UNESCO and WHO agenda, in particular the Kazan Action Plan, to increase physical activity participation for all as a contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals and Human Rights.
These units are freely available for you to complete and to share with your colleagues and network. They will provide you with the knowledge of how to practice inclusively.
Of course experiential learning through practicum is highly recommended and if you would like to explore a pathway to facilitate inclusive aquatics practicum and learn how to put this knowledge into action, please get in touch with us at the UNESCO Chair at MTU Kerry.
We wish you a fulfilling, joyful and expansive journey in your path to inclusive practice.
